Philly! Philly! London Grill Hosts Eagles Trivia on August 20:
Philly Special Trivia Takeover and Carson Wentz Lookalike Contest

London Grill
2301 Fairmount Avenue
(215) 978-4545

On Monday, August 20 at 8 p.m., Fairmount favorite London Grill invites fans and friends to join them for their weekly Lunch Money Quizzo, with a special football-themed twist: Philly Special Trivia Takeover. The crew from the popular local sports blog, Philly Sports Jabronis, will co-host the event and test diehard fans during four grueling rounds – 10 questions in each round – devoted to the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition, they are holding a Carson Wentz Lookalike Contest and awarding prizes for the best costume.

Philly Special Trivia Takeover will pose questions from all eras of Eagles football, from Dick Vermeil to Buddy Ryan to Doug Pederson, and everything in between. For example: Do you know how much Andy Reid weighed when he was hired? If not, study your playbook and wear your best throwback.

London Grill will serve a smart menu of summery pub favorites and Philly Special Trivia Takeover specials, such as $4 selected drafts, $5 Jim Beam drinks and $5 meatball sliders. Chef Michael McNally recently unveiled his new Pub Menu, perfect for pairing with their famed list of craft beers, local wines and enticing cocktails.

The pub menu is loaded with warm weather-friendly dishes, and will include:
•    Sauteed Mussels with tomato sauce and garlic bread
•    Classic Fish-n-Chips with tartar sauce and malt vinegar
•    “New” England Lobster Roll with hand-picked lobster meat
•    Duck Sausage Sandwich with foie gras “schmear,” Brie and caramelized onions
•    Artisanal Cheese Plate with seasonal cheeses, homemade jams and crisp crostini

Fans of the famed London Burger with a choice of toppings on a toasted English muffin will be happy to know that it shares space on the summer pub menu with the new dishes; other gems from London’s newly revamped menu such as the Swordfish BLT with cilantro aioli on a seeded roll with chips also feature alongside the seasonal additions, and will remain once the full menu returns after Labor Day.

About London Grill…Striking a perfect balance between a cozy neighborhood pub and fine dining restaurant, London Grill has remained among of the city’s most popular restaurants since 1991. Located in the historic Fairmount neighborhood, a short walk from the Barnes Foundation, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Franklin Institute and its neighboring museums, the beloved restaurant and bar has gained a reputation for creative menus that draw on American comfort favorites and cuisines from around the world. London Grill debuted their new sister restaurant, Paris Wine Bar (2303 Fairmount Avenue, 215-978-4545), in the spring of 2012; Berch, who has long been at the forefront of the city’s craft beer and cocktail movements, is proud to bring the same vision and focus to local wines in a charming, French-inspired setting next door to London Grill.
