SURPLUS BEER SALE AND KICK THE KEGS DAY!
*I am born in 1960 in Brussels.
My grand grand father, Mr De Coster, was owner of a brewery near Brussels, making one of the best “Lambic” of the region (see attachment). Beeing killed during the war, the brewery has been sold to someone else and is now owned by ABInbev under the name of Belle-Vue.
I made my study at the Brussels University in Economic and Finances. After my studies, from 1987 to 1997, I became General Manager of the company “MEURA”, engineering and manufacturing brewhouses, fermentation cellars, and complete breweries worldwide.
After that, I have been “crisis manager” in different field of activities (engineering, metal industry, automation, software, plastic industry,...).
In 2007, I bought the Brunehaut brewery, which was bankrupt, and since then, I enjoy to come back to the ancestor business (having probably some beer in my blood..) and to produce and sell our great ales all over the world.
Since 2007, what we achieved:
• we tripled the sales
• we went from 20% to 67% export ( in 20 different countries)
• we got the World Best Ale awards, World beer Cup award, World Beer Championship, Australian Championship, ....
• we were the first European brewery selling our beer in recyclable kegs
We began a successful story in the US with our new importer C2 Imports, and I am sure the US beer fans will love our St Martin Abbey ales. "
